السادة أعضاء جمعية العين التعاونية، جمعية الظفرة التعاونية وجمعية دلما التعاونية (“الجمعيات المندمجة”) نحيط سعادتكم علماً بأن دائرة التنمية الاقتصادية في أبوظبي قد أصدرت القرار رقم (59) لسنة 2023 بشأن اندماج الجمعيات التعاونية في إمارة أبوظبي وعليه تم اعتماد عملية الدمج للجمعيات المذكورة انفا في جمعية أبوظبي التعاونية (“الجمعية/ جمعية أبوظبي التعاونية”)، وأصبح القرار نافذاً قانوناً بتاريخ 9 نوفمبر 2023 والذي قرر حل الجمعيات الثلاث المندمجة. وعلي ضوء انتهاء عملية الدمج، نفيدكم بأن جمعية أبوظبي التعاونية الآن بصدد استصدار شهادات أسهم جديدة لأعضاء الجمعيات المندمجة. وبما أن بنك أبوظبي الأول(FAB)، هو المسجل المعتمد لأسهم جمعية ابوظبي التعاونية قبل الدمج، فقد شرع في تحديث سجل أسهم الجمعية ليتضمن ملكية جميع الأعضاء الجدد المنضمين من الجمعيات المندمجة.. وعليه سيشرع بنك أبوظبي الأول(FAB) باصدار وتسليم شهادات الأسهم الجديدة لأعضاء الجمعيات المندمجة وفقاً للبيانات المسجلة في سجل الأسهم. يرجى العلم بأن الأسهم الحديثة التي تم إصدارها لأعضاء جمعية دلما التعاونية وجمعية الظفرة التعاونية بعد الدمج غير شاملة الأنشطة المتعلقة بالنفط والغاز وتأجير السيارات والآليات وذلك لاعتبارات أخرى سيتم الاعلان عنها في وقت لاحق. بناءاً علي ما ورد ذكره كل شهادات الاسهم الحالية المملوكة لأعضاء الجمعيتين المذكورتين أعلاه سيتم استبدالها باخري حديثة متضمنة كل الأنشطة التجارية للجمعيتين فيما عدا النفط، تاجير السيارات والاليات.,.

ABU DHABI COOPERATIVE SOCIETY SUCCESSFULLY OPENS DOORS TO HIGHEST RETAIL WAREHOUSE IN KEZAD, ABU DHABI

February 2023, Abu Dhabi, UAE

The capital of UAE, Abu Dhabi witnessed the inauguration of one of the highest-structure retail distribution centre in the Emirate, at KEZAD area. This latest development and logistical project falls under the umbrella of Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society (ADCOOPS). This pioneer project was developed by Makani Real Estate LLC, the real estate arm of ADCOOPS. KEZAD group is UAE’s largest operator for fully integrated economic zones, business services and industrial real estate solutions. Committed to creating competitive business ecosystems that encourage sustainable growth, through open, agile, and integrated environments, the opening of the distribution centre is just an example of ADCOOPS’ commitment towards supporting communities within the region.

Significantly tall and standing at an impressive height of 27 meters, the warehouse is equipped with a phenomenal capacity of accommodating approximately 35,000 palettes. Designed and built in line with international retail standards, this distribution centre is the bridge between partners to enhance delivery systems within and around the region. Equipped with a wide range of multi type rack systems, from VNA to mobile and selective racking system, this warehouse has six main chiller and freezer areas with the capability of housing products with an immense volume of 75,000 cubic meters. The facility will provide adequate storage methods of raw materials or manufactured goods for distribution and will enhance ADCOOPS logistics to its diverse network of hypermarkets and supermarkets. Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society buys Zahker Makani Mall to expand reach into the Al Ain market

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society has boosted its investments in the development of shopping centres with the recent purchase of Zakher Mall in Al Ain in March 2022.

The mall will rebrand as Zakher Makani Mall; Makani meaning ‘my place’ is owned and managed by ADCCOPS and is synonymous with creating spaces that provide neighborhoods with a friendly place to meet, eat, and play.

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society leadership has approved an investment to renovate the Zakher Makani Mall over the next two years. The investment plan will support the strategy to create unique spaces to attract and build loyalty with existing and new tenants and shoppers alike.

Zakher Makani Mall is spanning over 19,730 square meters of gross leasable area and offers customers over 860 dedicated free car parking spaces, and it is home to 92 stores, featuring international and local brands of fashion, shoes, accessories, perfumes, and other essentials for all family members, and also includes SPAR Hypermarket which extends over an area of 5,000 square meters and opens 24 hours a day. Zakher Makani Mall offers a diverse range of dining options, whether it’s a lunch meeting, friends gathering, or just a coffee break, through the highly-rated restaurants and cafés in the mall and the food court, and features many fun activities such as cinema and kids’ entertainment areas that makes Zakher Makani Mall a perfect family-friendly lifestyle and entertainment destination.

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society launches a campaign to employ 500 Emiratis

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society announced the launch of its campaign to employ more than 500 UAE citizens over the next five years. The announcement was made during Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society’s participation in the National Service Career Fair from 28th to 30th of March at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center. 

Currently, 26% of the senior administrative positions in Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society are held by Emiratis. The vision is to recruit more than 500 Emiratis in the upcoming five years across all aspects of the business, which includes retail, real estate and administration; and to ensure their integration by matching the roles to the capabilities.

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society invests AED 25 million to “Your Ramadan is special with us” campaign

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society announced the launch of “Your Ramadan is special with us”, offering shoppers discounts up to 75% on Ramadan essentials and several charitable initiatives to support people in need throughout the Holy Month.

Working with the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society allocated AED 2 million to support the humanitarian initiatives in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, benefiting more than a million families this Ramadan. Initiatives include Ramadan tents in 30 locations around Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra, with estimated beneficiaries of 199,000 people.

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society has invested more than AED 25 million in promotions, with weekly discounts and super deals on everyday products and Ramadan favourites available in all stores (COOP, SPAR, and Megamart). The price promotions will continue for the full month with additional offers added for Eid Al Fitr.

For customers wishing to donate essentials to those less fortunate, Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society has designed beautiful Ramadan gift boxes, which contain a wide selection of daily essentials at greatly discounted prices. The gift boxes can be picked in-store or ordered online at MyCOOP. The Ramadan git boxes are available in two sizes AED 99 and AED 149. Special orders and further corporate discounts are also available for bulk orders.

SPAR Express store opens in Al Jeel Tower, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi Co-operative Society announces the opening of the new SPAR Express store, located at AL Jeel Tower in Reem Island, Abu Dhabi. 

The new store which is the twenty-first Spar to open in the UAE has a floor space of 160 sq metres and is estimated to bring in a footfall of 7,000 customers daily. 

The new express format will offer over 3,000 products ranging from healthy local fresh fruit and vegetables to delicious treats, quick bites to day-to-day essentials. To meet the needs of the neighbourhood, the store will offer high-quality products at affordable prices, and will also provide a home delivery service. Residents can also enjoy freshly brewed coffee from the in-store Insomnia café corner. 

SPAR Express is open from 8 am to midnight daily, providing a community hub for the 50,000 residents in the catchment area.

Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society announces 200 winners in celebration of the Year of the 50th

Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society announced the results of the electronic raffle draws that were held in Bain Al Jesrain, Al Mina Center, Spar Al Shamkha Makani Mall, and Spar Zakher Makani Mall for the “Shop and Win” campaign that was launched in celebration of the UAE golden jubilee. 

The draw was conducted electronically in the presence of representatives from the Department of Economic Development, where 196 winners of various prizes were announced, including vouchers, electronic devices and smart phones along with 4 Nissan Patrol cars winners. Congratulations to the grand prize winners  Mr. Mohammed Al Shamsi (Emirati), Ms. Fatima Al Jahouri ( Emirati) , Mrs. Noura Ali  (Emirati) and Mr. Adel Abdullah ( Yemeni).

The “Shop and Win” campaign was launched on November 10 in all branches of Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society and Spar in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to the weekly promotions on the occasion of the 50th year under the name “50 Days of Deals” by offering discounts of up to more than 50% on consumer goods, fresh food, home appliances, apparel and electronics.

Abdul Majeed Al Khouri, CEO of ADCOOPS, stated that this is the first time ADCOOPS conducts electronic raffle draws, in line with all precautionary measures to limit the spread of the COVID-19, he also added that the total value of the prizes 1.5 million dirhams. The total number of participants in the electronic raffle draws was about 35,000 customers. Al-Khouri stated that there are many valuable initiatives and grand prizes in 2022, while continuing to offer weekly promotions to meet the needs of all consumers on all products at competitive prices.

ADCOOPS exceeds Emiratization targets year-on-year

Abu Dhabi Cooperative Society aims to hire over 500 Emirati in the next five years

ADCOOPS aim to increase the number of Emirati employees in the company and to enhance their efficiency, flexibility and productivity in the retails industry compared to the international standards in terms of retail practices. The decision followed the UAE government’s new target to increase the percentage of UAE national employees to 10% within the next five years. 

The Emiratization is closely associated with two important principles on which the ‘Projects of the 50’ are based. The second and the fourth principle; of believing that building a dynamic economy is a national responsibility. The UAE government continues to draw from the wisdom of its Founder, the late Sheikh Zayed, and his legacy continues to ignite change within the country with the approach of the 50th national day. 

ADCOOPS has set out the following targets to help with the company’s Emiratization growth as the organisation sets its sights on exceeding the governments employment targets:

  • Become a strategic partner and a retail leader to employ UAE national job seekers 
  • Encourage Emiratis to join the retail industry 
  • Train young Emiratis to work in the stores and malls
  • Provide and exceptional customer service to their customers reflecting the UAE culture

As part of ADCOOPS Emiratization scheme they are looking to hire new Emarati graduates form universities and institutes in the country based on their skill and speciality and who can fit the work requirements.
